C3-Ignite Program

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools, in partnership with Sprint, launched the  C3: Ignite, a $6 million education technology accelerator program for the 270 Catholic elementary and high schools in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.

“C3: Ignite will enable our schools to utilize the power of technology with their compelling focus on faith formation, academic excellence and improved opportunities for the students and their families,” said Archbishop José H. Gomez. “I am pleased to be able to work with our many partners to continue to support the work of all our schools and the students and families they serve.”

Santa Rosa de Lima was selected by  Sprint that allowed the students and the school to become connected with tablets that give the school educational content resources, and training and support for principals and teachers. 

“The program increases our schools’ collective capacity to provide students technology-enriched resources and learning experiences that foster their ability to be impactful in their schools and communities, and shape the productive citizens we expect them to become,” said Dr. Kevin Baxter, Senior Director and Superintendent of Catholic Schools. “My hope is that this impact occurs regardless of whether schools are focusing on STEM, personalized learning, early literacy development, or closing access gaps for students and their families.”

Each child will be provided an iPad for their use while registered at our school.  It is the family's responsibility to provide a screen protector and a case to keep the iPad in good condition.  The use of the iPad within the curriculum is determined by the academic needs of your child's grade.
